Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam poster out! Movie will release next year


Anticipation is growing for the launch of “Lal Salaam,” the highly anticipated movie directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, featuring a cameo appearance by the iconic Rajinikanth. A fresh poster has just been revealed, confirming that the film is scheduled to premiere in theaters during the Pongal festival in January 2024.

Earlier this year, Rajinikanth finished shooting for his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial project, “Lal Salaam,” which has generated considerable excitement among fans eagerly awaiting its release. The film features Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in prominent roles and also includes a cameo appearance by former cricketer Kapil Dev.

The latest poster showcases a vibrant red color scheme, portraying Rajinikanth standing in front of a classic car on a cricket field. Although the precise release date remains undisclosed, the creators shared a tweet declaring, “Lal Salaam to hit screens on Pongal 2024,” igniting excitement among fans.

Social media was buzzing with Rajinikanth’s fans sharing their excitement for the film. One fan tweeted, “I’ll be eagerly waiting for this movie,” while another expressed, “Just a few months left for another Rajinikanth blockbuster.”

It seems that Pongal in January 2024 will be marked by the release of several eagerly awaited Tamil films. “Ayalaan,” featuring Sivakarthikeyan, was the first to declare its arrival during the festive season. Other films preparing for release around Pongal 2024 include Sundar C’s “Aranmanai 4,” Arun Vijay’s “Vanangaan,” and Jayam Ravi’s “Siren.”

Lyca Productions produces “Lal Salaam” and it is presented by A Subaskaran. The movie is set to release in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. The plot of “Lal Salaam” centers around themes of friendship and cricket, with Rajinikanth portraying the character Moideen Bhai.

It’s worth noting that this film represents A.R. Rahman’s initial collaboration with director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, Vishnu, anFilm critic Saibal Chatterjee awarded “Jailer” a rating of 2.5 stars. In his review for NDTV, he remarked, “The first half of ‘Jailer’ is largely engaging. However, the second half fails to maintain the same level of excitement.

It becomes sluggish and meandering, despite a few climactic twists that manage to make an impact. In one scene during the second half, the character Muthu confronts a film director named Balu, urging him not to impose subpar content on the audience under the guise of commercial cinema.
